Hi all
I hope everyone had a great Xmas, now it's time to get back to the workshop.
I thought I would have a go at something different so I picked a design by Julius De Waal.
This was a steam traction engine designed by Patrick Sterling but never actually built so I should be able to make minor changes as I go along.
The pictures show .....The frames....axle box guides...cylinder and water tank
cylinder and trunk guide....small gear being machined....finished small gears
large gear being machined.
More to come in the new year.
Cheers for now.
Mike.

Looks like fun (or a pain in the ass, depending on your perspective)...

...Ved.

I'll follow this with interest. Impressive workmanship, will it be a working model? Cheers, Peter

Hi Peter
It should be a working model up to a point, I hope to have it run on air.
The size of the boiler and some of the fittings needed for steam, would make it very difficult to have a fully working steam model.
Cheers
Mike.
