Hello!
Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself.
I'm software engineer and several years ago one of my colleagues got me into the hobby of machining. I started with a small Taig lathe and X2 mill, then upgraded lathe to the HF 8x12 (which I borrowed from another colleague).
So far I have two engine projects under my belt: one is oscillating air engine (using plans from littlemachineshop.com) and second is Webster 4-stroke (which kind of works, but with some issues...).
I haven't done any machining in the last two years (since we moved to San Ramon -- home projects!). Now I'm trying to get back to machining.
The project I started working on recently is Kerzel Hit & Miss. Unfortunately, I sold my Taig before we moved and I returned 8x12 to the owner, so I'm completely latheless at the moment! This limits parts I can make to those which could be done on the mill (until I buy a lathe).
