Hi all, its been ages since I've been on here, but I'm glad to be back. I've been building a small 2 stroke engine as a teaching aid for my channel on youtube and I thought it was a good idea to share it with you all here. All comment welcome and I'll be posting stuff on here as I progress - matt

Nice job Matt,

It's always nice to see new build videos. I think it helps to understand better some procedures. Here we say "a pic worths more than a thousand words".

I'm also surprised to find you are using inserts in an small lathe with really nice results. Chips look good and surface finish is very smooth. Can I ask what insert are ypu using?

Thanks for sharing ypur work, I'll keep tuned.

Hello Matt!
I have watched all your steam engine videos on YouTube.
Congratulation for your very nice work. Where are you located?
Why did you do a lot of milling operations on your lathe once you had the milling machine?
By the way, I have the same lathe and milling machine as yours.
