Hi, Just thought I'd introduce myself - I'm Eric. I'm a machinist in AZ. I was wanting to build a combustion engine but I think maybe I should start with a compressed air engine. Maybe I could get some recomendations on which would be a good starter project and where I can find the plans. Thanks.

Welcome to HMEM Eric

I am also a career machinist.
My very first model was a simple wobbler.
When it ran on the first try, I was hooked.

Try an easy looking design.
It's totally different on a model scale.

I went from a 7/8" on a side rough cut to a .040" on a side
rough cut. Finishing is the same.
Just as frustrating when the machine refuses to give you the
answer your looking for.

Hobbyist's think that's an exception.
We know it's just another day at the office. ;)

I'd recommend Dave Goodfellow's Siamese Twins Engine as a first model.

Rick
