Figured it would be a good time to register and introduce myself.
I'm an ex-armourer who still enjoys machining.
I have been lurking here a while reading and the site is great.

When I was very young I built my first steam engine from a kit. It needed some finishing so my Uncle, who worked for the railways at the time, helped me in one of their machine shops, from then I was hooked.

In the last few years most of my stuff has been firearm related but now that I have my own shop set up in the basement (Euro Equivalent of a 9x20 Lathe and X2 Mini mill clone) I hope to make some model engines aside from doing hobby gunsmithing stuff on my own firearms.
I have a specific interest in Sterling Engines and have always wanted to build one but never found time to do it.
