After four years of work my Forest Edwards Radial is finished and running.
I have always been interested in the workings of radial engines and on retirement decided to have a go at building one. This is my first attempt at making an engine.
I was somewhat surprised when it started and ran immediately at first attempt. Frightened the hell out of me actually as I was really only expecting a pop or a bang at most. I have now ran the engine quite a few times without any problems and have even been thinking of building an RC plane to put it in.
This is a link to the post. Two other members building Forest Edwards Radials are in the same post. http://www.homemodelenginemachinist.com/showthread.php?t=6923
This is the YouTube link of the Edwards start up and running. https://youtu.be/nvmaAWSJdRI

Cheers and enjoy - Brian

Beautiful engine.

Great job on the radial. These engines have a real character to them. It looks like it runs quite well at all rpm's.
