Well I have started on a new engine! I am designing and making this one on the fly with no drawings. Liking to repurpose junk and use what's at hand this engine will be based around an old hard drive.*
You can see here I have already made the con rod out of the thing that reads data off the disc and some brass stock.
A 10/32 bolt was turned down to .122 and a .121 hole was drilled into the hard drive for a nice tight connection to the con rod.
I will use as much of the hard drive as I can but will be using parts from other things as well plus making parts as needed.
The piston is made from an aluminum fitting that just happen to fit a bronze spacer (smooth, consistent bore) and had a grove for an o-ring.*
The two holes in the side will be exhaust. Bronze spacer was turned turned for looks
