MJN Fabrication used to sell model sparkplug boots, but their website seems to be kaput. Does anyone know of another source for model sparkplug boots? Looking for both 1/4 -32 size and CM6, 10mm.

Thx...

Hi Chuck, go into the files section. On page 10, I think, I have posted a drawing with the Dorman part number for a spark plug boot.

Chuck IIRC someone here did a tutorial on molding your own . I turned out very nice professionaly made looking.

Yeah, I kind of remember that as well, but I'll be darned if I can find it!

Thanks, George, a search for Dorman 47410 vacu-tite returned a number of websites that sell these things. Here's one that has a picture and pretty reasonable prices:

EDIT - Searching for Dorman Motormite 47410 brings up a link to Rock Auto, as you said, and their price is better...

You have to click on the Part Number Search tab, then enter 47410 for the part number and select Dorman from the manufacturer list.

George;
This is the most detailed example of the fabrication process for spark plug boots I've run across;

Lot's of other good stuff on PAZ's site.

I've also read of using 90 degree elbows from small irrigation system components (drippers, connections etc.) but I can't think of where that info is - I'll post if I recover from my old timer's moment....

Hi Garry, yes it's pretty complete but I don't know that I want to go to all the trouble that fellow did for a handful of boots. With all the machining of molds, trying different silicons, waiting to see if it will harden seems quite frustrating to me.
