I needed plumbing fittings/valves for a steam hammer model. I'd purchased fittings and valves before, but this time decided to make them from the castings. I *think* it was this forum that I saw a pic of a jig for this but no diagrams. It was from that inspiration that I drew up some diagrams. I have since machined the castings and finished revising the diagrams. This file contains 3/16, 1/4, and 5/16 inch MTP fittings.
A note on using them. I put "V" marks on the sides that are used to center the jigs. The shims I used for the separation was a double sheet of .014 card stock, adjust to whatever you have as it is just to provide a gap for inconsistent castings. Which leads me to the last comment. The castings I received varied, the 3/16 and 5/16 were matched on the mold well, the 1/4 was shifted and caused me to do some fiddling to machine them.
Hope it helps someone else save some time.
