I really like that design. I might shamelessly steal it. Solves my problem of trying to come up with one that'll do convex as well as concave curves.

I made one of those a few years ago and quickly found the set screws would damage the tool post to the point it was very difficult to move. I milled the slot wide enough for a thin shim between it and tool holder. problem solved.

Very nice - can we assume the ball end on the handle was made with the tool itself?

With a modified tool holder, and a grinder in the lathe, u can grind a nice radius an a lathe tool. And be sure to cover the lathe ways before u grind.
