Hello all, long time lurker, first time poster. I was very early in my machining career when I built my first engine, an air cooled stirling from Rudy Kouhoupt's 'plan sets from the past' book. It ran (barely). Couple years later I discovered this forum. I've wanted to get back into making more advanced engines now that I'm much more experienced in my machining abilities.

Besides steam and Stirling engines being fascinating in their own right, I enjoy getting to work on small and complex/high tolerance parts that don't really relate to the type of machining work I do for a day job.

I've got about 10 parts done on a Moriya stirling fan from the 'Steam and Stirling engines you can build' book. Pictures in the work in progress forum to follow soon!

Looks like I've got a lot to learn from around the forums here; I look forward to it.

Welcome to the forum. We look forward to pictures of your progress.
