I have just finished building my first Hit And Miss engine an Olds using a casting kit I bought from Jay Peters about 12 years ago. I have built a couple of steam engines prior to this but this was my most challenging project. The most difficult item to build was the mixing valve and getting it to operate correctly. However finally I have finished and have a smooth running and nice looking Olds Hit and Miss. I have attached photos of my growing collection

Beautiful collection Errol. Thanks for sharing

Those are great looking engines Errol. I'd love to see more pictures!

It looks like you have paid a lot of attention to detail on your projects Thm:

Since my last post I have added several other projects to my collection a Powerhouse Engine with aluminium cylinder and steel liner, a 20th scale cannon with steel barrel and a Tiny IC engine which has been my most challenging project. I have not been able to get the Tiny IC to run properly but I am sure with dogged perseverance and persistence I will eventually prevail
Regards
Errol
