Kvom,

Nice engines.

I really like how you used a brass door knob as your burner tank.

I would say that you did a good job "thinking outside the box", but I have been told that I use that expression too much.

So good job, creatively re-purposing a standard manufactured commodity. Thm:

I like the box saying better. :hDe:

Good job.

Regards,

SAM

Duclos specified a doorknob (different model#) for the tank, so there was no great inspiration on our part.

The lid is aluminum and turned to fit the bore of the knob. Vent hole in the top, and the edge is knurled.

I have a runner on the last day of class ;D (I leave for Europe on Wednesday). With about 3 hours of fiddling and adjusting with help from others it ran at 9:00pm. Here's the video I made in class:

I'll have to see about a nice base in November when I'm back home.

Very nice kvom.
Must feel good to get it running before you have to leave.
Enjoy your trip. I expect you'll keep in touch on the forum?

Quite the Phalanx of Philip's Fire Eaters.

They turned out great. Nice job and enjoy the break.
