SOLD
Newer South Bend 9" lathe with 4 1/2' bed including stand and tooling. Probably manufactured in the 1970s. Catalog #344RD, S/N 55468NKR9 Has a 1 hp 220 volt, single phase motor. Ways show cosmetic damage near the headstock from dropped chucks during its early years in a community college shop. I've owned it for nearly 20 years. I've replaced the cross slide lead screw, added an angle attachment, and shimmed the tailstock to align the centers. The spindle shows no runout on a .001 indicator. The 3 jaw chuck runs within .002". A 5C collet chuck with some collets and a 4 jaw chuck are included. The price includes a Dumore Tool post grinder, AXA size quick change tool post and tooling, centers and other tooling shown in the pictures. Lathe is mounted on 2 x 4 skids and weighs around 600 pounds with the cabinet. The buyer needs to arrange shipping, but I can help.
