Hey

While waiting on so money so i can buy some aluminum for my hit and miss . I thou i should built some thing and was just going to built another tiny, then i thou to myself why not make it smaller so half scale it is!

Tonite i have finshed turning the colnum and tomorrow i hole to get the holes drilled in it .

i will take some photos tomorrow when its daylight .

if any one could tell me what would be gd to use for the crank shaft this would help me heaps . where would i find some wire/rod thats 0.8mm ( 0.031 for you werid people) ;D

Any body-shop or welder should have 0.8 mm wire a common size for Mig welders. Hope this helps
 
You can use an old broken drill bit, cut the shank at the right size with a small cutting disk

I used music wire for mine. Hobby stores and hardware stores carry it in the US.

Just a small update

got the holes drilled in the column tonite and made the crank and flywheel

here is a photo of the column still needs parted off once i am finshed it. sorry not photos of crank and fly wheel .
may remake crank as not that happy with it.
