That would work also. But moving the laser on the face of the mill is in the same plane too. So if the mark is lower/higher I just tilt the laser to hit the target. Either way, we'll both be good!

Just re-read your post on spot size.....I mark to one side or the other of the spot (left or right) your choice

The pic helped, I had missed the fact that you could move the laser. I could mount a laser onto a mag base, good idea!
