Haven't heard from Gus the happy fisherman in a while.

I haven't heard from Gus for a long time. He may have given up on the machining hobby or had medical problems. He was (like all of us) getting on in years. His machine shop was on the balcony of his apartment in Singapore. I liked Gus, used to correspond with him a little.---Brian

He is pretty active on Facebook. He is building electronics. Mostly amplifiers and speaker systems. Posts about the worlds best foods that he keeps finding.

I too had great affection for the happy fisherman, and also wondered why he stopped posting. If any one has contact please ask him to post a hello

I see his posts on Facebook, even though I don't use it myself, and it seems he's taking a break from engines and focussing on audio electronics. I think he got a little burnt out from his V twin build and is enjoying the more 'instant gratification' of electronics. Hopefully he'll return someday.
