I have started to add to my website videos for many of the projects and proccesses on it, Presently I have made 7 available with another 14 finished and a few in progress, these mainly showing my grinding rest being used to sharpen different tools. I am making the videos available at one or two a week.

Two of particular interest already available are My quick change lathe tool holder. This having an unusual design which avoids the need to machine dovetails but is very accurate as the video shows.
The video is at [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q_Qx6wCLFKw[/ame]
and can be found on my website here http://www.homews.co.uk/page508.html

Another video shows my full function dividing head which achieves more divisions than a Semi Universal Dividing Head by having multiple ratios, typically 30:1 35:1 upto 75:1. The video is at [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6efRGgTIDAQ[/ame]
And on my website at http://www.homews.co.uk/page137.html

The full list of presently available videos is at
http://www.homews.co.uk/page617a.html

If anyone would like to receive an email as I add further videos then go to the correspondence page on my website at http://www.homews.co.uk/page6.html and ask to be added to my mailing list.

My apologies for not visiting the forum more often but I have over 30 metalworking forums that link to my website.

Clever ideas that you came up with. Thanks for the link and videos.

Awesome stuff. I have purchased the books and they will form part of my "apprenticeship" in this craft.

Cheers,
James.

Thanks again Harold, I see your postings all over the net so this might be a repetition but your web site is one of the best out there.

This post does bring up a guestion though, why is it that talk of dovetail machining is always negative? I've seen this in more than a few places and I'm not sure why people don't want to do dovetails. Is it the expense of a new cutter? As a machining task I don't find them to be exceptionally difficult and I'm far form an experienced machinist.
