Im Ricky, currenly working as a Tooling Engineer at Pankl Engine Systems located in Irvine. We manufacture crankshafts(not scaled ones). Our sister company is CP/Carrillo(the P in CP is Pankl).
Im currently going to school for a degree in mechanical engineering. And I have always wanted to make my own scaled(and running) engine.
I worked for an engine machine shop in Costa Mesa for 4 years and first got into the scaled engines when I met the owner of http://www.mysterelly.com/ then I had recieved the emails that everyone forwards along with the various scaled engines. Ive always been fascinated by these works of art.
At the moment, I have several pieces to a rotating assembly(crank, rods, pistons) and I will probably be chasing that for the time being.
