Hi. How fast does a hit-n-miss run? I'm thinking that I might use one as power for a project I've been designing in my head. I'm thinking that I'd like about 200 RPM.

Thanks in advance, TC

Not sure you can get a model hit and miss to ever go that slow.

Back when I collected the real thing the only engine I could get that slow were the 4-5+ hp engines. You need heavy flywheels to keep the momentum going.

Had a 5hp Economy engine that had only one ring on the piston and rubber bands on the governor arms that would run at 125 rpms.

Just use suitable size pullies on the crank and whatever you are driving to get the right speed. The full size engines had a range of pully diameters available to suit the job in hand.

200 rpm off a real one not a problem. Number of ways to go about it.
If have one that's pump jack oriented piece of cake.
