Hi everyone. I've been surfing the Forum for a couple weeks now and find it incredibly informative and interesting. My interest in engines goes back to childhood, and I have built a number of the steam and solenoid variety. Now retired, time allows me to exercise my passions. Though I have limited equipment and am actually short on skill ( and probably awareness ), I want to build a simple IC engine. Some of my engines are posted on YouTube under my pseudo "Flyingtractors1". I will continue to study this forum and maybe gain some of what I need for that next project. And maybe I can learn how to post my engines here also. Thanks to all.

Ft1,

Welcome to our forum. wEc1

Best Regards
Bob

Welcome!

Posting pictures here is not difficult. I would host your pictures on photobucket or like, and then link them to your post.

I usually copy the IMG code from my photobucket file, and past it into the body of the post here.

Look forward to seeing your projects!

Dave

Here's the link to an early engine I posted on YouTube.

Then I progressed to this one.

and grew into this one.

and there are others

Welcome from a newbie also
wow you do some nice work, look forward to seeing you build something

Thanks all. I'm glad to be in such fine company and look forward to growth interaction with this Forum. I appreciate the word on how to upload pics / videos and hope to share more in the future - if I actually can get more done. I'm working at it, but I'm not much better at making pictures than I am at making chips - yet.

You are in the right place & welcome aboard. Remember we like pictures. ;D

Thanks Dave. I'm sorry that I didn't document my builds with photos. I will try to do so and post on future builds.

Welcome fellow Coloradoen I am from Pueblo

Thanks Don

Thanks Don. I'm in Colorado Springs. Did I read somewhere that you are building a "Holt" engine. If so, I sure would like to hear more about it.

Thanks for veiwing and for your comments. Here are a couple of my other favorite engines.

Good to have you with us Ralph. Very nicely done engines. I'm a ways north of you in Elizabeth. Hope to see more of your work.

Regards,
Mike

Thanks Mike. I appreciate your thoughts. I don't get out much, but maybe some day I can come to visit your shop in Elizabeth, pick your brain on some things and rummage through your cutoff bin. If you venture to Colo Spgs, maybe you can stop by some time for coffee and see my meger mess. Ralph
