I have a Homier brand 7x12 mini-lathe for sale. It has its original tools and change gears. I modified the compound slide for an AXA style quick change tool post. The quick change tool post is not included with the sale. If you want to change the machine back to the original 4 position tool post, you will have to order a new compound slide from Little Machine Shop for $15. Most people want a quick change tool post so I didn't convert the machine back. I will also include a metric leadscrew kit, a steady rest, a follower rest, 4 jaw chuck, 3 jaw chuck, faceplate, dead center, live center, Jacobs chuck, and a Little Machine Shop tachometer kit. The lathe looks and runs like new. I cut my teeth in machining with this little lathe and now have a 13 x 40 lathe. Nice machine. With all the extras, I would like to get $400 for it OBO. Shipping is on you. I am in southern Wisconsin. 608-877-0572

steelburner this for sale area is for active members of this forum . don't you think it a bit rude and presumptuousness sign up just to post stuff for sale??? this could be considered spam.

I can see your point. I am a long time lurker who has little free time but still manages to lurk around gleaning knowledge and inspiration from people like the others on this forum. I have been able to gain a foothold in the metalworking hobby and am now upgrading and expanding my machine collection. I thought your forum members would be interested in what I need to dispose of. Isn't that what a buy/sell/trade forum is for? As for not being an "active member", I am extremely busy (young father) and also very new to metalworking. Honestly, I don't have much to contribute, yet. I can only perform simple machining tasks and have no accomplishments to brag about, yet. I did not mean to insult or take advantage. If I have done so, please accept my humble apology and delete my posts.

Steelburner,

read this link-

Then-
Jump in and build a wobbler. As stated in the link above, one of the goals of this website is to help newbies. Building an engine to print will force you to develop your machining skills.

Note: I am a stay at home dad with three small children (20mo, 6yr & 7.5yr) so I understand being busy. An hour or two here or there eventually add up to a completed engine.

Steelburner: Now we see your side of the story thanks for the brief intro.
If you already lurk It does not take long to pop off a post . There is nothing wrong with sharing even minor accomplishments here. Also nothing wrong with encouraging others work and asking questions. And posting a quick intro and telling us about yourself before posting something for sale would have gone a long ways.
Apology accepted.
we can only judge folks by there words here . No posts no words we have no idea of who a person is or there intentions here. we want a community that helps one another. I think we are pretty good at that.
