Here is a thread I'll update on hobby style machining projects, most were done as WIP, for this forum, but now I'm able to consolidate them, and learning how to use windows moviemaker, I'm able to make slideshows with them and post them on my machining utube channel.

These are all slideshows,

1)This one is a model of my swivel vise:

2)Model sized hydraulic lift table:

here it is in action using water for the hydraulics.

3)Here's one that is a model engine
horizontal 4 cyl. compressed air engine.

Here it is running under compressed air.

more slideshows to come as I put the videos together.

This was a WIP I did around 2010 on this forum it is a model of a flight simulator moving platform, all I had to go with was the first picture, then from there figure the mechanics of it to get it to work fluidly when its working, here is the WIP progress pics

this is the model working with the hydraulics:

I think its a nice idea, but I found the you tube videos to fast and hard to stop. I saw one setup go by that I wanted to look at closely and I could not get to the frame.

How about using one of the photo sites? Most of them have a slide show mode as well as a thumbnail.

Hi Ron Thankyou:

I do the video slideshows fast to keep people from getting bored, so they can enjoy seeing the progress from start to finish.

I have all these pics, and a whole lot more, on my photo bucket account,
http://smg.photobucket.com/user/ddkiz/library/?sort=3&page=1

but to view them there is very very tediously slow, I only post them there to have a way to embed them into the forum WIP threads.

However I really appreciate your interest in looking at my progress pictures for more than just entertainment.

Most of these are in my WIP threads, on the forum.

Here are the links to view the pics in the threads, also for the pics I give a lot of detail descriptions as well
please enjoy.

This thread goes into the building of my 4 cyl. engine as I started documenting it for the forum,
I was about 1/3 the way done on it when I found this forum to share on.

These are some of my pneumatic and hydraulic videos, using my computer camcorder, before I upgraded to a better video cam.

Here is a deomonstration of the weight handling capability of the model lift table, and its fluid motion up and down, when using machine oil for the hydraulics.

Then I wanted to always build a model flight simulator platform, so in preparation for that challenge, I did an extent of experimenting with ways of machining pistons, and cylinders to work under hydraulic pressure, without leakage, so here are some videos on the test parts I made, to check for machining tolerances, and if they could actually work or not.

First I needed to see if I could machine pistons and cylinders with tight tolerances to hold liquids without leakage. So this video I'm testing the ability of my cylinder to not leak oil past a piston.
Then from there I was testing the force strength of my piston and cylinders, as well as different configurations to get dual action.
