Will a Flame Licker run on the flame from a propane torch ? If so I just thought it would be really convenient, And it should still be a fairly clean flame / fuel ???

Allen,

Flame lickers are notorious for not running if the flame isn't near the ideal spot.

I did try my double one with propane butane gas by making two basic tiny blowtorches that connected to a bottle.

Unfortunately, I didn't quick get the air/fuel mixture quite right, and even though the licker ran well, the carbon in the flame gummed up the cylinders very quickly, after about ten minutes running.

I just then converted it over to meths and it ran great once the sweet spots were found (that is the really hard thing on some lickers).

This is a single cylinder running on gas with a correct home made burner.

The flame should be very soft otherwise it will quickly overheat the cylinder.
