Had this old proto puller with a badly worn screw. So what you think me did? The new screw has the point machined on and not the replaceable type. Also made the hex head 11/16 instead of 9/16. The nice sloping taper from the hex to the threads on the old one was nice, but things went in a different direction. Also made from stainless steel, so we'll see how that holds up. Anyway, first threads that I've cut in quite some time, so thought I would show them off.

Looks great!

What grade of stainless is that?

Rick

Thanks guys, Rick I'm not too sure what the grade would be. It was cut from a large food grade mixer that needed the shaft shortened. 304?, 308?, 316?,BR5499 ;D anybodys guess, sorry.
