Fitting a DRO to a Vertical Mill

Hi All
has anybody fitted a DRO system from Allendale (machine DRO) to a RF 25 type vertical mill. I have just ordered a 3 axis one and I am looking for any help on the installation.

Get the covers for the scales as its easier to fit the back of the cover to the machine and then mount the scale onto that. I've just done my X3 which is similar and would suggest you use the slim scales.

Can't help with your question Bob, but wouldn't mind seeing a few pictures of your installation when it's done as I'm thinking of DRO,ing my VMC.
