I haven'y been to the museum either, have to road trip soon.

Thanks for the pics. After running so many from new to "beat" they did define the machine.
 
Hey, that looks exactly like mine, except mine doesn't have shiny new paint! ;D Mine is from a shop that did work for the San Diego ship yard. S/N dates to 1941. The machine was literally as-new other than the paint when I purchased it. Very tight on X and Y axis. 32" table. I do wish it had power feed and have considered doing a J head conversion but have managed so far with out it.
