I've never seen one with two switchable speed settings but that's useful for a lot of the stuff I do so that's what I did ;-)

Nick,
Did you build from scratch or just add some extra controls?
Looks like it will be very useful

My Unimat clone also has a 'two speed switch'

According to a lot of complainers( or whatever), some Emcomats V 7 or 10's were also fitted with push button 2 speed motors.

All my yesterdays or somebody else's

It's almost scratch built, the empty box was £2 from Maplin, all the gubbins, cable, plugs and sockets were also on clearance at Maplin, the pots are both 5k Ohm, yes the switch just switches between the two potentiometer outputs.
I'm planning to add a run inhibitor switch to the spindle lock, an optional stop/start switch and actuating cam on the clutch lever.
I was interested to learn that the stop switch on the VFD, although it's a momentary switch, over rides the on state of the motor control switch which must then be switched off and back on again to re-start the motor.

The prototype clutch switch is fitted, not pretty but I didn't want to waste time in case I didn't get on with the function, it wires in series with the "On" switch and interrupts the 12v supply for the Motor Run FWD and Motor Run Rev inputs.
