I want to know if I can put another upper insulating gasket on top of the 2 already there to get clearance for my Displacer body to keep it from hitting the bottom of the hot cap. I need from what I measure another .050 and the gasket material is .062 approx. I checked all my parts dimmensions and they are to spec. , but I am still hitting bottom. I don't want to machine the bottom of the stainless steel hot cap. The depth of it measures the right dimmension of 1.560. Some one who built one of these will understand my problem.
Thanks Boot

It will change your swept volume ratio but I think it should still be ok.

Thanks Doc.
I don't have much of a choice in the matter. I can't cut any more off the displacer and I can't bore the Hot cap any deeper. I don't know how I gained that much in the length. I tried to keep everything in tolerance as close as possible. Oh well you can't win them all.
Thank you for the come back. Boot :)
