Bought a Starrett 6" Caliper from LMS. Price was affordable and about 2 times that of China pricing.
Came in w/o batteries,so put in a substitute of CR2032. After a day, digital display started blinking and would zero in. Switching off not possible. Got suspicious.Did I buy a "Made In China" fake Starrett?
Checked packing. MAde in China by Starret(Suzhou,China)Co.LTD.
Bought Japanese----Maxell CR2032. Been a week now and w/o battery eating/draining and no display blinking typical of China digital devices.
So far so good. See fotos.Will report performance in 3--6 months. Caliper came with test report.
