As most of you already know, I live is a very small town.

The Make A Wish Foundation is still very active here.

I'll try to keep this short.
My wife manages the books for a little Mom & Pop feed mill.

Today Make A Wish called her to say they had bought a pony and cart for
a 9 year old Amish boy who was suffering from a serious kidney disease.
They were calling to ask how much feed will cost for this pony.

The owner of the mill told my wife that feed won't cost them a penny and
that SHE (my wife) will personally deliver it each month.

She's thrilled!

We all earn and take a lot from life.
An opportunity to give a little back should never be allowed to slip past.

I don't mind living in a small town one bit! 8)

Rick, there are still good people in this country of ours, yes small towns are great I was raised near one, after 55 years there I wanted a change, guess I was tired of helping so many for so long, well we moved 60 miles away and what did I find some more people that needed some help with things that I can do, back to it again, needs are the same and if we cannot help them while there are alive I don't think flower at the grave site helps them at all, your wife and her boss will have a needs someday and someone will be there to help them also, I did learn that a gift is not a gift unless it cost you something, I am proud of them, take care, Lathe Nut

Tomorrow she makes her first feed delivery.

I made the mistake of saying: "I hope your doing that for a long time."

Not a happy moment.....

I hope that little guy is around long enough to wear that pony out!
Sadly, if Make-A-Wish thought he would be, they would have never
been involved in the first place.

I'm thinking, Take it out on the interstate Kid, run them triple trailers
off the road!!!! ;)

Rick
