I would like to reduce the consumption of the my engine (Anderson Spitfire) making the following operations:

1) I have increased the compression ratio;
2) I have design a new combustion chamber with squish band;
3) I have reduced the port-timing;
4) I have design a new venturi:
5) I have modified connecting rod by adding extra oil holes both sides;

What I can to do yet?

Thanks Massimo.

I think the important thing is to do tests to verify the modifications. If you do not record Brake Specific Fuel Consumption, it's very difficult to determine if there was benefit from a modification. You can use a prop as a brake and calculate the power output, but if you don't verify or have good data on the props, using different size props can lead to error. I built a four stroke that consumed ~1cc per minute while making about 140W.

YOU DONT BELEIVE IN TIAL AND ERRORS DO YOU
with out having Bore stroke. rod lengnt and timimg all uour going to have is guesing answers. the most
important thing needed is the application and diseried with bore stroke conn rod lenght and transfer ports
cordal width crank case volume is also a good thing if torque is the target
:confused:

This engine will turn up 5000 r.p.m. with a 16-inch-diameter 6 inch-pitch Graupner prop.

Actually With 14cc of fuel it's run for 4 minutes.

Thanks Massimo.

Hi what is the original engine RPM.
why lowering transfer ports??? intead of lowering Exaust port
what % squich band are you going to use??
how many transfer port is their now??

Dear Friends,

For first what I must record Brake Specific Fuel Consumption but I must be to remake a new liner and new piston like without to changes.

I will keep you updated. Thanks for you answers.

Massimo.
