Having made several RBS's myself, I can appreciate all the work and engineering that went into this. Mine, of course, cannot compare to this one. As much as I like it, I couldn't help but think how much better it would be if it did have some mechanisms to reset itself so the machine could run nonstop. These machines make great lobby displays when set up this way.

A lot of ingenious ideas went into those lift mechanisms and it seems they could be exploited and used in a powered RBS of some sort. At first, I thought maybe he was going to use something like a clock weight to power all the lifts and I was surprised at the last where he had to reset all the components one by one. If one could engineer it to run from a single weight of some sort then it could run for some time before having to lift the weight for a reset.

Very enjoyable.
