Hi my name is Richard and I am new here. I'm a retired chief from the US Coast Guard and I am of all things now a graphic artist. I love the antique machinery, especially old steam machinery. I have a little 7X14 lathe and a sherline mill. I claim amateur status as I am a very beginner, but am eager to learn from the beautiful work that you all do. I found plans for an old 1858 lighthouse tender, side paddle steamer with its Steeple engine, redrew them and uploaded them in the downloads section for you all to use. They are in imperial measurements and may not be very accurate as I reduced the real engine size down to a model size. I am Looking forward to meeting all of you and maybe contribute more to this site.
