I recently saw this at Grizzly. Looks like a nice H/V Mini Mill, perhaps it is better than the vertical Mini Mill sold by the usual suppliers such as MicroMark and LMS. It think that this machine needs an upgrade that can include a brushless motor, belt drive, better speed control, etc. I think I'd like to wait for the people at LMS to resell an upgraded version.
The Grizzly site suggest a good 2" milling vise along with this mini mill that can be also a good purchase. I've also seen this mini mill on eBay.

I think we discussed it a while back.

The biggest problem with it in vertical mode is that by the time you add a vice there won't be any capacity left for all but the shortest of milling cutters.

Same for horizontal mode add a cutter and a rotary table with 2" ctr height and you are stuffed.

Before I purchased my MicroMark Mini Mill I surfed the web for days and didn't see this particular model. I just got excited at the sight of this small mill since I've been able to work with a industrial H/V mill and simply loved it, far better machine than the vertical mills. I find your comments very informative, I think you're 100% right when you point out the tiny space available in the Z axis. I'm glad I did not slide the credit card. Best regards.
