this is today's garage sale find, like most of us have enough tap and dies but just 125 more loose ones and 30 dies not counting the small packs and the Blue Point set for $25.00 with some other odds and ends (what is missing in the slot on the Blue point set) thanks, Lathe Nut
Thanks fellows, canadianhorsepower, bet you right, one or the other, I will look at the dies I think they are adjustable if not going to fill that spot with the thread gauge, thanks, happy hunting, Lathe Nut
I obviously need to attend better garage sales. With one exception all the garage sales I've seen were just somebody else's trash that they were trying to get rid of. I did stumble across one a couple of years ago that was a dandy. A machinist had retired and was down-sizing. I got a nice edge finder and a set of counter sinks, all the rest of the goodies were way too big for my Unimat.
I go along with canadianhorsepower. The empty slot was probably for a screwdriver used for die adjustment.
