Thanks, but I'm looking for about 35 of them and made of a "soft" type plastic.

Cheap PVC electrical pipe and end caps? No need to even glue them on - just fit one on the pipe as-is and sand the other end a bit for easier on and off. Nice dark grey, too, so less offensive to the eye than plumbing PVC.

Not "soft" plastic (I know the tubes you're talking about) but certainly serviceable and inexpensive if the materials are bought in bulk. I've done a fair amount of this for items in my shop - good care and if the item is oiled before storage it will come out looking brand new.
