Howell V-4 I.C. Engine (Virtual to Reality)

Hello everyone,

I am embarking on a journey here creating one of the nicest V-4 engines out there.

The Howell V-4 I.C. Engine.

So, let's get going.
Before you can do anything you need data right?
I am going to create each component of this engine in 3D Studio Max and this will allow me to
show the build virtually along with providing the data to create the parts on my CNC.
I am sure this will be a long slow road so I plan on taking my time and enjoying the build.

The first step is to create the holding jig for the engine block to be machined on.

Next I cut out the rough shape of the engine block and mounted it to the jig.

Now it is time to get to this point in reality. 8)

I just received the plan of this engine from Howell's site.
I'm very interessed by your project. I'll follow your posts with interest.
The construction of this engine should start in few week.

There's a 'Welcome' thread on the forum. It would be great (if you haven't already) to post something about yourselves. What you've built, what you're interested in, what equipment you have. And you've been on the forum much...everyone loves pictures...of (almost) anything. ;D
