How NOT to make copies of a steam engine

Here are some blunders I made when I decided to make copies of a steam engine.


 
Wow,Pat,you're learning fast.I usually have to make the same mistake 3 times before it gets through my thick skull :big:
Seriously though,unless it's a critical part of the assembly,most parts are generally salvageable.It just means a bit more "fiddling".
 
There is a lot to be said for learning to crawl before you start to walk, and learning to walk before you start to run-------------
 
I have found that if I make enough parts, two of them will finally end up identical, then I scribble a new number on the plans to make them fit. :)
