Brand new here, I live in Wichita, Kansas.
I am not a model engine builder, but I dabble and tinker with machining tiny parts on my Rivett watchmaker's lathe.
I'm about to begin fabricating my second project in steel, and I'm hoping to pick up some wisdom, as I don't have ANY formal training in machining.
My next project is going to involve knurling, which I've never done.

Nice work on the cam follower.

I learned how to machine by ruining parts until I finally learned how not to ruin parts.

I recall observing the watch repair guys at the local Sears store, and marveling at the tiny scale at which they worked.

Welcome to the forum.
Good luck with your next project.

Thanks, Pat, I appreciate your kind remarks.
I'm hoping to get advice here from time to time, and post pictures of my projects as I complete them.
