gasket mtrl's and a few other questions

well after being on lay off from the tool room all summer i have finally produced a nice set of castings, based on a model engine some one gave me, but now that im ready to machine i have a few questions.
A) what mtrls are used for base gasket? and head gasket?
B) the wrist pin and the crank jurnal are gonna be 1/4 drill rod, if i ream my bearings to .251 is that to loose of a fit?

this is a 2 stroke , mag fired engine, its my first engine build, but i figure, after 15 years in the tool room making parts for stamping presses, this cant be to hard to machine up

and yes the casting were made in the back yard

I just noticed you had two posts and found your first.
Tell us more about yourself and the engine you're building.
There's also a number of members who cast and I'm sure they'd like to know about your system.
