Well, thank goodness for steel toed work boots! I was moving my 10" rotary table from the mill to the floor, and as I neared the floor, my hand slipped, and the table went down on my the top of my boot. :x No harm to the table or toes. Just enough to irritate a fellow.

I really didn't even think about what would have happened had I been wearing tennis shoes (normally I do) at the time, but the thought of smashed, broken, and otherwise traumatized toes doesn't sound appealing to me.

I really think I will utilize my work boots out in the shop going forward!

What in the world were you doing putting that big an object on the floor?
By hand yet. :)
That belongs on a roll about table. And/or use a fork lift. :)
...lew... ps good you were wearing those steel toes.

Yes I wear safety toe shoes most of the time. I probably should wear them more in the home shop. I Try to be aware of what I am doing If I am moving vises or chucks or machine I definitely have them on. but for light model part I am not that concerned but I know I should be prepared ,plans have a way of changing and you do not always take the time to change shoes.
