I have a flex shaft carver I bought from Harbor Freight. I checked the runout on the chuck, and after some tweaking it's about 0.0015. On a bit shaft about twice that. I use this to drill off center holes by mounting it on the slide on my taig lathe. Is this an acceptable amount of runout. Incidentally, I tested my Dremmel and got 0.005 runout.

should be fine. the real test is

1) hole size and if you have a 115 pc set you should be able to grab a smaller on if needed.

2) appearance do the holes look clean and round or look like a mouse chewed it out.

3) are you breaking drill bits.
If the hole is clean to size and looks good no worries.
Also keep in mind drilling is a roughing operation if you need really clean holes drill then ream. Ream about haft the speed of the drill.
