First engine

I know this is a really odd question but is there any particular engine that would be somewhat simple for a newbie? My only requirement is that it be gas.

EB an IC engine may be a little ambitious for a first build.
That being said, I'd recommend the Webster if your set on
building a gas engine.

Welcome EB, wEc1 By gas, are you referring to a spark type IC engine or something along the lines of a glow plug or diesel ignition? Of course, technically any steam engine is a 'gas' engine ;D Rof}

depending on your machining skills and being a newbie i have seen from posts on other forums that a Bob Shores little angle is a good place to start a first build.
