I would like to know if any one has made the Eureka tool that is in the
Gears & Gear Cutting book by Ivan Law? If so does it work i made one but i don't see how the spec. for the large eccentric can be wright, it just does not move the ratchet far enough to pick up the next notch. On a 2 inch
diameter with 12 notches they are .5236 apart & the way i read the print
the eccentric is .168 off center. I must be missing something some where.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks Don

On page 124 it mentions that the tool will work on cutters from 1.25" up to 1.5" diameter. You say you tried a 2" blank, so maybe that is the problem? Never seen or tried to make that tool, I made fly cutters then bought a set of multitooth. That tool looks really clever if you can make it work.
