Hi

Me and Julian went to Elvaston Castle steam rally today. A bit showery but not to bad. The following photos are of a pair of model portable engines. I fancy making one of them at some time. Then a full size portable. Then a Case traction engine. Iv'e never seen one before, abit rare here in the UK.

thanks for the great pictures rich.............just one thing, the last engine is not a case it is a george white that was made in canada.
i just posted some pics of a model of one of the george white engines that i started about 30 years ago.

it makes one wonder how or why a north american engine is in the u.k, especially when the engines you guys built are way nicer to look at ;D

Thanks for sharing the pictures. It sure makes one wish they could have seen it in person. Jelousy abounds.

Hi

Sorry about the mix up there Chuck. There was a Case engine there also but I didn't get any photos of that one. I'm going to another steam rally this coming Sunday at Rempstone in Leicestershire. Its a big event. It was cancelled last year due to a water logged show ground. Do remember the continual rain this time last year. Doesn't time fly when your'e having fun. I'll take some more photos and post them for you to take a look at.
Cheers

Rich
