Anybody know of inexpensive 3D CAD or Modeling software for the Mac?

Chuck,

I am playing around with ViaCAD 2d/3d on my OS 10.4.11 machine. It is affordable and not too difficult to use. Some of the things it can do are not as I wish but I used to have access to Inventor at work and wish I could afford it and the computer to run it.

As usual, not affiliated with either of these companies, just my own opinion. For info on ViaCAD:

Chuck,
I use turbocad or hexagon(free) for my drafting/drawing. I use blender(free) for my mesh work, organic modeling and animation.
Turbocad was installed by the previous owner, i'm not sure of the cost.
Blender is a very powerful package, albeit with a very steep learning curve.

I get on well with ViaCad , can do most things but sometimes struggles with radii.

I've just bought ViaCAD and are trying to create something. I know software as Adobe Illustrator and Maxon Cinema 4D, so I think I will handle ViaCAD too.
If someone are interesting I can try to write something about it when I've test it.

Hands down, Rhino for Mac http://mac.rhino3d.com

It's still in beta so you have to send an email requesting access, but it's really the only 2D/3D package that feels at home on Mac. I tried some of the others (DraftSight, TurboCAD), and they fall felt like bad ports.
