Here we finally have an icon with whom we can identify, a down-to-earth bodger of the first rank more concerned with getting his latest Heath Robinson creation to work than being a fashion plate, and the fags have to tart him up to look like some kind of Nancy-boy. That stuff he is wearing is nothing new, lousy designers nowadays can't think for themselves, they have to pinch ideas from the past and call it 'retro' fashion.

Mid sixties, wide shouldered jacket, drainpipe trousers, chisel toed shoes and a pair of shades.

Those piccies were taken in my youth, nowadays it is boiler suits and bib and brace. Anything to 'hold it all in'.

Comfort over fashion.
