hello,
Im just about to get back into Model engineering again, but fortunately this time around with a slightly better budget than i had 20 years ago. I have a Hafco AL-960B lathe coming later this month and hope to buy a good milling machine next year. my interests are mainly in engine building both steam and some of the older IC hit and miss style engines.
but for now I'm just looking for anyone in the Canberra area who might be willing to give me a hand setting up the lathe when it arrives.
i have read and watched how to do this and have even bought a precision level, however having an old hand working with me would make me feel a lot better, and i really want to get the set-up right.
happy to provide tea and sandwiches along the way and even a beer or two after....
many thanks
