I've always bought Kennametal inserts for my 3/8" turning tools, paying on average $5.00 each for them.

It was time to order another box so I was checking eBay to see if any vendors there were offering the
TCMT 21.51 insert that my tools hold.

No Kennametal inserts to be found, but I saw an offering there by Baxter Carbide, Inc.
listing that size for $3.25 each in a ten pack lot.

We'll give them a work out when they arrive here.

I received the box of TCMT 21.51 inserts from Baxter a few days ago, but
just now had an opportunity to put a few to work.

First off they FIT my 3/8" tools!

They hold up very well on cold roll 1018 steel.
I haven't tried them on 4140 alloy steel just yet, but I will very soon.

For $1.50 each less than what I have been paying for inserts, I'd call it a good deal!
